Honorable Steven C. Moss
Judge Steven C. Moss a third generation Arizonan and the eldest of seven children. He's married to Hayley Moss (nee Fry) who is the vice principal at Mohave Valley Jr. High School. They have two children, Mallory and William.
After high school Judge Moss enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1984-1988 (mostly overseas). He then attended Eastern Michigan University where he earned a double major in Economics and Political Science. He was awarded a scholarship through law school, where he graduated cum laude and served on the Law Review.
In 1995, after law school, Judge Moss immediately moved back to Arizona and was hired by the firm of Gurtler, Kelley and Moyer. He remained a law partner in that firm (and its successors) through 2017.
Judge Moss won election and served as a board member on the Colorado River Union High School District No.2 from 2002-2010. In 2012 he won election to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, winning re-election again in 2016.
Judge Moss is an active Rotarian (and firmly believes in Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self") and a member of the Mohave Valley United Methodist Church. He has also previously served as: the Regional Commissioner of Region 397 of the American Youth Soccer Organization; President of Bullhead City Meals on Wheels; and, a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of the Colorado River.
Steve Moss was appointed by Governor Ducey to Mohave County Superior Court Division 3 on July 24th 2017.
